(within the Institute of Physics, INP) and the Université de Savoie. It is located in Annecy-le-Vieux, 5kms from the centre of Annecy and about 40kms from CERN and Geneva. The activities of LAPTh are centred around three main areas of research:
ANR-Postdoctoral position in Integrable Systems LAPTh (Annecy) and LPTM (Cergy-Pontoise) Starting fall 2012. 
Raymond is 80! We celebrated his birthday a bit late on July 8th 2011. The small conference and the garden party were just fantastic. Happy birthday to our friend and mentor. Some pictures taken during the garden party can be seen 
Björn Herrmann is our new junior faculty LAPTh/Université de Savoie. Björn came from DESY, Hamburg. His work is on Beyond the Standard Model phenomenology.
Diego Guadagnoli is the new CNRS recruit at LAPTh. He will formally join on February 1st 2012 after a Marie-Curie Fellowship at LPTOrsay.
James Drummond is awarded the prestigious CNRS medal for a young physicist (below 35). This distinction is in recognition for his pioneering work on super Yang Mills N=4 theories with its wealth of novel symmetries and the discovery of a Yangian structure.
